ALISON HUBBARD, Governance and Special Projects

Alison, who joined Schoolreaders as Development Co-ordinator in 2017, has been Chair of Governors at her local primary school for 13 years, and sees first-hand the benefits of having Schoolreaders in the school.   Alison was previously Chair of the local pre-school committee and is also involved with local Brownie and Guide groups.

ELIZABETH PERKS, Marketing and Communications Manager

Elizabeth joined Schoolreaders at the beginning of 2023, just in time for the organisation's 10th anniversary. Coming from experience of a charity marking it's 90th anniversary, Elizabeth is ready to help put Schoolreaders on the map, and deals with media of all kinds, from regional to national, and including social media of course! Elizabeth is used to wearing a number of hats, having previously launched a Fundraising Marketing campaign which went on to inspire it's own Veterans' Gaming charity, and having won several awards at Marketing sector events. She is always close to the beating heart of the organisation and keen to get stuck in to all that is going on. In her spare time she loves to read (Obviously!) and is working on renovating her home. 

SARAH LAMPLOUGH, Senior Operations Co-ordinator

Sarah is an Operations Co-ordinator in the Schoolreaders team. She interviews the volunteers and matches them to schools. Sarah has a degree in psychology and her background includes social work, customer service and working with offenders. Sarah lives in Northamptonshire with her husband and two daughters.

HELEN TOLMIE, Office Administrator

Helen joined Schoolreaders in November 2022 as an Office Administrator.  Helen previously worked as a Legal Secretary for various law firms in London and Bedford specialising mainly in the Family law sector.  Originally from Suffolk, she now lives in Bedford with her husband and two children.   In her spare time she enjoys skiing, gardening and walking.

CLAIRE SWEET, Operations Coordinator

Claire became an Operations Coordinator in November 2022. She spent 13 years as a Teacher in Primary Schools and knows how valuable keen volunteers are to school staff and children. Claire is passionate about ensuring all children enjoy what they are learning and are supported to achieve their goals. In her spare time, Claire likes to go on family adventures with her husband and two young children.
